The Silver City road on the Idaho and Oregon side are both now open. The Oregon side is about the same as 2005. The Idaho side is open only for ATV's and 4WD vehicles. Absolutely no trailers, the road will only be one lane and quite primitive, they don't want people to have to back a trailer hundreds of yards to pass oncoming traffic. From the middle part of June until construction is complete, the road will be open for traffic for one hour, three times daily, and then open on the weekend. Until further notice, it will remain one lane, and again, no trailers.
